She is a full-time researcher at the Institute of Aesthetic Research- Oaxaca UNAM, since 2014. Denise Fallena Montaño's lines of research address devotional images and practices, as well as books of late-medieval hours, with emphasis on (a) a marial book and pious practices of the fifteenth century; (b) the books of hours of three ladies of the high aristocracy and (c) the first books of printed hours and the transfers of the images. She was head of Diffusion and Museological Studies in the Museo del Templo Mayor.
