Wikipedia, Sept. 27, 2011 (Juan Ramón Jiménez Mantecón; b. 24 December 1881 in Moguer, Spain; d. 29 May 1958 in Santruce, Puerto Rico; a Spanish poet, a prolific writer who received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1956. Upon the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, he and wife Zenobia Camprubí went into exile in Cuba, the United States, and Puerto Rico, where he settled in 1946. He was a Professor of Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Maryland, College Park and at the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, Florida)
