Resumen: Cultural magazines are a mirror of the literary life but are also literature itself. This volume offers a history of the highly influential literary journal Vuelta (1976-1998), founded and published by Octavio Paz. As in all the magazines that Octavio Paz encouraged, Plural and Vuelta had one soul in common: critical passion. Disagreeing with unanimity and facing the contemporary onslaughts of political and ideological intolerance, Paz proposed Vuelta as "a free space where the imagination of writers and modern critical thought in its various manifestations could be displayed simultaneously."
